What is this page for?

This page is supposed to be a tool to aid you in filling out an NCAA Tournament Bracket. There are a few other pages, on the internet, that have a similar goal. Many of these require a fee and/or are not as in depth as what I have tried to create, with this page.

Do I have to be logged in?

You do not have to be logged into the site to fill out a bracket with the default ranking systems. If you create and account, you can enter any ranking system that want. You can also choose from ranking systems that other users have created. You can also save the brackets that you made so you can look at them later. There is no fee to create a login, so you might as well.

How to I enter custom rankings?

Find a ranking system that you feel is important or make up your own. Click the Rank link and enter the number that correspond with each team. If your ranking system values low values over high values you will need to check the box labelled "In this ranking system, lower numbers are better than high numbers."

Any ranking system that you add here will automatically be added as a favorite and will show up on the bracket page as long as you are logged in. It will also be added to the community bracket page so others will be able to use your ranking system to fill out there brackets.

How does the page calculate the combined ratings?

When a rating system is entered it gets scaled. As long as they are on the same scale you can easily compare one rating system to another.

In order to make sure one rating system doesn't naturally carry more weight than another, the site makes sure each system is on a scale from 0 to 1. With each rating system, the lowest rated team gets a score of 0 and the highest rated team gets a score of 1. This is necessary, because some ranking systems have vastly different ranges.

What is the number under each teams' names?

These are the combined ratings, the page generates, based on the numeric weights you gave the page. The numbers are found by multiplying the numbers you typed into the boxes, next to the rating system names times the teams score for that rating system. These products are then added together to produce the combined score.

Am I guaranteed to win my office pool, with the aid of this bracket?

Main stream science has yet to do a full study into the probability of office pool success as it correlates to the use of this page. In fact, many top researchers feel that the LESS informed you are, the better you will do in office pools. With this in mind, I make this recommendation: Use this page at your own peril. You may have a better chance of winning if you let your wife/girlfriend, dog or toddler fill your bracket out.
